
About Maya's Breadworks

I came to the US in 2013, and spent the last 10 years working as a QA engineer. I decided it's time for a new chapter to start and do something that brings me JOY. It was not hard understanding what I needed to do next.... I bake!

I started baking after coming to the US as I missed my mom who was a great baker. I actually came from a family of bakers. My grandfather owned a bakery of pita bread in Iraq and later in Israel, so I guess I have it in my blood.

I like the magic of the sourdough, where you only need flour and water (and a bit of salt for the taste) and voila, you have a bread. No sugar needed.

I believe that every loaf tells a story. Crafted with love and care, my freshly baked, hand-made breads are made from the finest ingredients to bring you an authentic, rich flavor in every bite. Whether you're savoring the sweetness of my challah or the perfect texture of my sourdough, each loaf is a testament to the art of baking. From my home kitchen to your table, enjoy the taste of homemade goodness—perfect for any occasion.
I am currently focused on baking vegan breads (non dairy and eggless) but can accommodate non vegan on request as well.
